Nazinon: The monthly regional ceremony for raising the national colors was held this Tuesday at the Regional Hospital Center (CHR) of Manga, presided over by the Governor of the Nazinon region, Mrs. Massadalo Yvette Nacoulma. The event celebrated the contributions of various bodies to government actions, especially in healthcare improvements.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Director General of the Regional Hospital Center (CHR), Aminata Nana, extended her gratitude to the regional authorities for selecting the hospital to host the ceremony. She emphasized that this decision underscores the regional commitment to enhancing healthcare services for the population.
The CHR, a regional referral center, started its operations on August 14, 2024, initially launching its outpatient clinic and hospital pharmacy. Since then, several departments, including pediatrics, emergency medicine, and surgery, have become operational, with ophthalmology and ENT yet to open due to equipment shortages. The facility has treated 9,025 patients and conducted 792 surgeries, including 240 cesarean sections. However, the hospital faces a staffing challenge, with 214 current employees against a requirement of 377.
Governor Nacoulma congratulated all involved for supporting presidential and government initiatives, notably the "Deme Sira" campaign. She praised the dedication of CHR staff and noted that holding the ceremony at the hospital supports its efficient operation.
The governor also announced that March 2026 would focus on exemplary tax practices and urged officials to promote this among their teams and partners. Acknowledgments were extended to defense forces and Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland for their role in maintaining regional security.
The ceremony concluded with a handover of rubbish bins to the CHR by the Special Delegation of the Nazinon region, followed by a medical visit for all participating bodies.
