Burkina Faso: The Secretary General of Sissili Province Calls for a Corruption-Free Administration

Burkina faso: The Secretary General of the Sissili Province, Baowinsida Bingo, presided over the traditional flag-raising ceremony at the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. He took this opportunity to urge public officials to maintain absolute integrity and to abandon all corrupt practices.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the national flag flew this Tuesday morning at the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture, Water, and Animal and Fisheries Resources in Sissili. This ceremony, which has become a cornerstone of civic engagement, saw a strong turnout from the province's various institutions, illustrating the unity and cohesion of the nation's vital forces around the symbols of the State.

Speaking on behalf of the High Commissioner, the Provincial Secretary General, Baowinsida Bingo, first expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome extended by the Provincial Director, Lassane Sawadogo, and his staff. He then focused his remarks on professional ethics and current national issues, particularly the strengthening of governance.

"I would like to remind you of the importance of our mission and urge you to rid yourselves of all bad practices, especially corruption, within our administration. The fight against this scourge has taken a new turn," the Secretary General warned.

Faced with the performance challenges confronting the State, Baowinsida Bingo issued a "pressing call" for collective vigilance. For the provincial authority, the objective is clear: "to rid our services of these bad practices in order to build a healthier, more efficient administration, truly dedicated to the well-being of our people."

The provincial director of agriculture, Lassane Sawadogo, welcomed the selection of his institution to host the ceremony, seeing it as an encouragement for his teams in the field.

The next flag-raising ceremony is scheduled for March 2026 at the Leo town hall.
