Kongoussi: The president of the High Court (TGI) of Kongoussi, Martin No«l Yameogo, invited the people and provincial authorities on Tuesday morning to cultivate a deep sense of pride and national belonging, in a context marked by the reconstitution and reconstruction of national identity.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the President of the High Court spoke on February 3, 2026, at the solemn rotating raising of the national flag, held at the Kongoussi High Court. "Our identity is currently being reconstituted and rebuilt. This process should instill in each of us a profound sense of pride and belonging to our people, both among the general population and the authorities," he declared.
The President of the Kongoussi High Court commended the initiatives undertaken by the current authorities, which he described as "a project of paramount importance." He invited the province's constituted bodies to contribute to this endeavor.
The High Commissioner of Bam Province, Karim Ouedraogo, thanked the President of the Kongoussi High Court, the Public Prosecutor, and their teams for their hospitality.
The provincial authority emphasized the symbolic value of the flag-raising ceremony at the courthouse. He reiterated the central role of justice in the rule of law and social cohesion.
"This ceremony is a moment of reflection on the values ??of justice, fairness, integrity, solidarity, and patriotism, especially in the context of the Popular Progressive Revolution," he stated.
It is worth noting that this was the first time a formal flag-raising ceremony by the decentralized administration had taken place at the Kongoussi High Court.
