Dump Truck Brake Failure Causes Traffic Accident in Bobo-Dioulasso, Injures Two

Houet: A traffic accident involving a dump truck on the Nieneta road in Bobo-Dioulasso resulted in injuries to two individuals and considerable material damage. The incident occurred on Wednesday, February 11, when the dump truck experienced a brake failure while in motion.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the initial reports suggest that the malfunction in the braking system caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle. In an effort to mitigate the situation, the driver reportedly attempted to change the truck's trajectory to reduce speed and limit damage.

During this attempt, the dump truck collided with two motorcyclists and subsequently crashed into a taxi. The vehicle then struck a tricycle. The driver of the tricycle noticed the impending danger and managed to escape unscathed by jumping out of the vehicle, which fortunately was unoccupied at the time of impact.
