Gorgadji: The Gorgadji Basic Education District (CEB) organized a formal flag-raising ceremony on Wednesday at the Gorgadji A Public Primary School. The initiative aimed to strengthen patriotic spirit and cohesion among those involved in the education system, in a challenging security context.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony brought together students and teachers alongside military and paramilitary authorities, heads of departments, traditional and religious leaders, technical partners, and humanitarian actors present in the community. All participated in this symbolic moment of unity around the national colors.

The head of the Gorgadji Basic Education Center (CEB), Ahmed Cisse, praised the resilience and commitment of the teachers who, despite security challenges, continue to fulfill their educational mission. He encouraged all stakeholders to stay the course in order to guarantee the right to education for the children of the area.

Mr. Cisse also took the opportunity to present the ins and outs of the educational reforms underway in Burkina Faso. According to him, these reforms aim to improve the quality of education, strengthen the governance of the education system, and better adapt the school to the socio-economic realities of the country.

The head of the CEB expressed his gratitude to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) for their constant efforts to secure Gorgadji, making educational continuity possible. He also acknowledged the crucial contribution of humanitarian actors, associations, and parents of students, whose multifaceted support helps to keep the school functioning.

This solemn flag-raising ceremony is intended as a powerful act of patriotism and collective resilience. It reflects the commitment of education stakeholders in Gorgadji to remain mobilized to preserve the school, an essential pillar for the future of children and Burkina Faso.
