Koosin: The ROPI Project Presented to CVDs to Strengthen Socio-Economic Integration

Bourasso: The Secretary General of the municipality of Bourasso, Marc Kabre, presided over a presentation session of the agents of the Referent-Opportunity-Integration (ROPI) project to the various Village Development Committees (CVD) on Saturday, February 14, 2026.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the young people involved in the Reference-Opportunities-Integration (ROPI) project were introduced to the members of the Village Development Council (CVD) and the local population by Marc Kabre. The ROPI project's primary objective is to organize young people from various social backgrounds around development initiatives.

The newly established municipal service is designed to facilitate the professional integration of young people by organizing them around relevant projects and programs. Awa Ouattara and Marcel Kabre are the agents assigned to manage and execute these tasks. "This system was created by presidential decree in rural municipalities and municipalities that are not provincial capitals," stated Marc Kabre.

Marcel Kabre elaborated on the ROPI's responsibilities, which include identifying young people's needs and mobilizing them for public interest work. The project aims to help youth identify projects and programs and connect them with technical and financial partners essential for their professional integration. Another crucial aspect of the initiative is to equip young people to foster an entrepreneurial culture.

Jo«l Faho, the president of the CVD of the village of Kodougou, emphasized the importance of this opportunity for young people under 35 to contribute to the commune's development. He expressed satisfaction with the meeting and committed to conveying the message to the youth in his locality. CVD managers have also pledged their support to ensure the project meets its objectives.
