Boudry: A sanitation operation, initiated by the president of the special delegation of the commune of Djibo, Mr. Hubert Drabo, brought the community together on Sunday for the cleaning of the communal slaughterhouse.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the event witnessed participation from administrative, customary, and religious authorities, as well as individuals from the meat industry and local supporters. This collective effort not only improved the slaughterhouse's condition but also underscored a strong communal spirit.
At the conclusion of the cleaning activity, Mr. Drabo expressed his appreciation for the citizens' dedication. He highlighted the importance of collaboration, stating, "If you want to walk faster, walk alone; if you want to walk far, walk with others. We will walk together to go further." He acknowledged the community's commitment, which resulted in a cleaner and more inviting facility.
In addition, the butchers' representative, Mr. Yeri Tamboura, conveyed his thanks to the municipal authorities for their initiative to enhance the slaughterhouse's image. He also voiced a desire for the reopening of additional facilities, particularly the Djibo livestock market, situated to the east of the slaughterhouse.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance public hygiene and foster a sense of community within the municipality.
