School Sports in Nebielianayou Showcase Discipline and Resilience

Boudry:: The Nebielianayou Basic Education District (CEB) officially launched its sports activities for the 2025-2026 season on February 11 in Kikilewere. Under the theme "Sport and Culture for a Responsible and Disciplined School," this edition aims to strengthen social cohesion within the educational community.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the grounds of the Kikilewere public primary school served as the setting for the official launch of the sports activities of the CEB of Nebielianayou. The ceremony was presided over by the head of the basic education district (CCEB), Nongma Zongo, and was under the patronage of the president of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune, Arouna Napon, represented by his first vice-president, Sylvain Nebie.

Welcoming the delegations, the chief of Kikilewere, Kobie Nebie, offered blessings to the education stakeholders and praised the choice of his village to host the event. The head of the basic education district highlighted that this launch, made possible by the sponsor Moov Africa Koudougou, serves as a pedagogical and social lever. He invited the population and teachers to use this competition as a framework for strengthening social ties, calling for fair play and resilience amid educational challenges.

Speaking on behalf of the ceremony's patron, the first vice-president of the special delegation emphasized the importance of community involvement, urging the entire community to support the sports season. He noted that sport and culture are essential to building a responsible school.

On the sporting front, the opening match saw the Aziga school face the Logo school, with the Logo team winning narrowly with a 1-0 scoreline after 60 minutes of play. A gala match before this saw the CEB teachers compete against the women of Kikilewere village, with the "educators" securing a 1-0 victory. The day was marked by dance performances and a strong mobilization of local populations and administrative authorities.
