Yaadga: As part of strengthening the technical and operational capacities of the wheelchair basketball team, the regional directorate of sports and recreation handed over sports equipment to this team from the Yaadga region on Tuesday, AIB observed.

According to Burkina Information Agency, a donation consisting mainly of 11 wheelchair basketballs was handed over to the leaders of this sport in Yaadga. On behalf of the beneficiaries, Mahamadi Ganame indicated that this equipment will enhance their team's technical capabilities. He also requested training in their sport, as the principles and techniques governing it are constantly evolving. Mr. Ganame thanked their supervising ministry and regional directorate.

According to Abdoul Kadre Bance, the regional director of sports and recreation for the Yaadga region, this donation comes from the supervisory authority through the National Fund for the Promotion of Sport and Recreation. He stated that the training requested by the beneficiaries falls within their remit, and they will work to familiarize themselves with the new disciplinary regulations in effect.

On behalf of the governor, technical director Karim Tasbedo offered advice for better maintenance of the equipment received. As a reminder, these wheelchair basketballs were manufactured in Burkina Faso by Burkinabe people. The Yaadga region's wheelchair basketball team is among the best in the country.
