Boulkiemd©: The Starting Gun for the 2nd Edition of the Inter-School Cup

Boulkiemd©: The sports field of the Sainte Anne Agricultural Vocational High School (LPA) hosted the official launch of the inter-establishment cup of the provincial director of post-primary, secondary, vocational, and technical education (MEPSFT) of Boulkiemd©. This event marked the beginning of the second edition of the tournament, which is set under the theme "Civic Engagement and Resilience," reflecting the authorities' aim to cultivate a disciplined and sporting youth capable of addressing the nation's challenges.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the opening match featured Soum High School against Sainte Anne Agricultural Vocational High School (LPA). The match concluded with LPA defeating Soum High School with a score of 2-0. Jonas Baki, the principal of LPA and host of the ceremony, commended the level of play and encouraged athletes to pursue excellence. He emphasized the importance of unity and discipline among players, underscoring that fair play leads to victory.

Adama Djiguemd©, representing the provincial director and principal of Nanoro departmental high school, as well as president of the organizing committee, paid tribute to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) with a moment of silence. He stressed that beyond athletics, football serves as a medium for social cohesion and fraternity. The local phase of the tournament involves seven teams divided into two groups competing over three months.

The success of the tournament is also dependent on external support. Djiguemd© called on sponsors and individuals to contribute to the tournament's continued success. This appeal was echoed by the representative of the President of the Special Delegation (PDS), who views the tournament as a significant driver of local development.

Officially launched at the provincial level on February 11 in Koudougou, the tournament promises a 2025-2026 season filled with emotions and resilience.
