Guiriko: Minister Serge Poda Urges SN CITEC Staff to Be Servants of the People

Guiriko: The Minister of Industry, Trade, and Handicrafts, Serge Poda, visited the SN CITEC plant in Bobo-Dioulasso, Guiriko Province, to boost staff morale and reaffirm the strategic role of this industrial unit in serving the people of Burkina Faso.

According to Burkina Information Agency, SN CITEC, a producer of consumer goods like cooking oil, household soap, and animal feed, plays a significant role in the national economy. The company, now wholly owned by the Burkinabe state, is tasked with meeting the population's needs by ensuring product availability at controlled prices.

Addressing the workers, Minister Serge Poda emphasized the strategic importance of the industrial unit. He highlighted that SN CITEC is crucial for ensuring stock availability and determining product prices. He encouraged the staff to remain committed to serving the people, in line with the progressive and popular revolution.

During his visit, the Minister toured the production workshops and discussed with employees the vision of the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traor©. The aim is to make SN CITEC a more efficient unit, capable of achieving significant results and sustainably meeting domestic demand.

For the staff, led by Managing Director Prosper Nomand© Kola, this visit was seen as a strong signal from the authorities. The general manager welcomed the initiative, believing that it will help galvanize the teams to provide quality products in sufficient quantities to the population.

The managing director reported that SN CITEC is performing well, maintaining nine months of operation-a feat previously unattainable. This improvement is attributed to the secure supply of raw materials provided by the authorities. The company is committed to transforming and supporting the national policy aimed at providing food at fair prices to the people of Burkina Faso.
