State-Owned Company FASO YAAR Opens Store for Lenten Period in Boromo

Banfora: The state-owned company FASO YAAR opens its doors: Administrative authorities attended the opening and first sales operations of the FASO YAAR store, specially opened for the Lenten period in Boromo on the morning of Friday, February 20, 2026. The people of Boromo can now buy oil, sugar, and juice at social prices in the FASO YAAR shop located in the new shops not far from the town hall in sector 3.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the opening of the premises and the first sales operations took place in the presence of a delegation of administrative authorities headed by the High Commissioner, Martin Bako. Well before the sales began, the head of the special delegation, Esae Bamogo, explained the shop's operating and management procedures, presented the products, and outlined the stock levels. He also explained the procurement process for both individuals and businesses.

The products are intended for direct household consumption. For all purchases, the consumer must present their national identity card. Prices and quantities are displayed outside the shop. High Commissioner Martin Bako congratulated the DPS and all those involved in the implementation and diligent measures that enabled the shops to open. While encouraging the management staff, he urged them to respect the regulations.

To consumers, the High Commissioner's message was an invitation to support the initiative of the national authorities through the marketing of products in FASO YAAR shops at prices favorable to the population, while respecting prohibited and repressive practices.
