Banfora: The 24th Combined Arms Regiment provides material and human support to Faso Mªbo in Banfora. The 24th Combined Arms Regiment carried out a donation on Friday in Banfora to the Faso Mªbo Agency, as part of the collective effort for national construction.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation consists of 250 molds and a financial contribution of 500,000 FCFA. In addition, a large team from the Regiment has been mobilized to assist with the work on the ground.
The Commanding Officer, Battalion Commander Wendkuni Isaac Djiguimd©, stated that this contribution fulfills a patriotic duty: 'We came this morning to answer the Nation's call by bringing this donation and mobilizing our personnel to support the workforce. It is a pleasure for us to serve the homeland. We already do so through our defense mission, but this does not prevent us from acting in other areas to show that we must all support our beautiful Nation.'
He further explained that this initiative reflects the desire of the 24th Combined Arms Regiment of Banfora to actively participate in the development of the country, beyond its security missions. The Commanding Officer also expressed his gratitude to his superiors and the highest authorities for their constant support and encouragement of the combat forces. He commended the commitment of his personnel, both in the theater of operations and in development support activities.
In this spirit, he launched an appeal for collective support of the vision of the President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, inviting every citizen to contribute: 'No one will build our country for us. It is together that we will succeed.'
The President of the special delegation of the Banfora municipality, Yakouba Baro, welcomed this gesture, which he described as highly symbolic. The Commanding Officer and his staff did not come empty-handed. They came to contribute to the building of our nation and support the implementation of the presidential initiative. Their commitment to defending the Nation already allows the population to go about their business peacefully. We commend them for what they are doing.
According to him, this contribution will improve the quality of the work and accelerate its completion. He also emphasized the growing enthusiasm of the population for the Faso Mªbo initiative. Seeing men in uniform working alongside civilians, while they are committed day and night to the country's security, sends a powerful message. It shows that we have taken our destiny into our own hands.
Mr. Barro emphasized the need for Burkinabe people to remain mobilized and united, asserting that the country's development must be driven by its own sons and daughters, without external dependence. The municipal authority concluded by calling on the population to remain committed to Faso Mªbo in order to build a strong, united, supportive, and prosperous nation.
