Nouna: The President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the Nouna municipality, Souleymane Tiono, presided over a ceremony on Sunday, February 22, 2026, in Nouna, to distribute 100 bags of corn to vulnerable people. The initiative was spearheaded by Malick Sawadogo, Chairman and CEO of the Sawadogo and Brother Transport Company (TSF).
According to Burkina Information Agency, as part of a solidarity initiative, Malick Sawadogo donated 100 bags of corn to vulnerable people of all faiths. The recipients were selected through contributions from family and friends, who identified widows, internally displaced persons, and vulnerable members of the host community.
Souleymane Tiono praised the initiative, now in its second phase, and encouraged other businesses to follow Mr. Sawadogo's example. Marie Rose Yelkouni, on behalf of the beneficiaries, offered blessings to the donor for his gesture, which brings joy to those in need.
During this period of Muslim fasting and Christian Lent, the CEO's contribution is invaluable. The CEO's representative, El Hadji Ibrahim Sawadogo, indicated that the TSF CEO's gesture aligns with the recommendations of holy scriptures: sharing with the less fortunate and showing solidarity with loved ones.
As a reminder, Malick Sawadogo is a native of Nouna. He began his career in commerce at a young age, eventually moving to Nigeria to expand his business. While residing in Nigeria, he continues to contribute to the nation's development whenever the need arises. He launched the TSF transport company to serve the province in April 2024, operating on the Nouna-Ouagadougou-Nouna-Bobo-Dioulasso, Nouna-Djibasso, and Nouna-D©dougou routes.
