Ouagadougou: A new bursar has been appointed to the departmental high school as the Provincial Director of Secondary Education, Vocational and Technical Training of Bougouriba, Abdoulaye Sawadogo, conducted the handover of responsibilities in Tiankoura. The transition took place between the outgoing superintendent, Pascal Sibiri Zongo, and his successor, Sami Tioye.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the installation ceremony was held in a classroom of the high school. Present at the event were the head of human resources of the provincial directorate, the provincial intendant, the heads of establishments of the commune, the administrative and teaching staff, along with students and parents.
Sami Tioye was appointed by decree no. 2025-000333/MESFPT/SG/DRH on November 13, 2025, concerning the appointment of bursars and administrators at the DRESFPT of the Southwest. He officially assumes the role responsible for the financial and material management of the Tiankoura departmental high school, which consists of 11 classrooms and accommodates at least 600 students.
Pascal Sibiri Zongo, after more than nine years of service, will now join the General Education College (CEG) of Loto, in the commune of Diebougou, as the bursar. Upon his departure, he expressed his best wishes for his successor, encouraging him to excel in his new role.
The new headmaster, in his speech, expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him by the educational authorities. He acknowledged the challenges of managing a large institution and committed to continuing the ongoing efforts while enhancing administrative and financial discipline. He highlighted the importance of fund recovery as a priority to meet the institution's needs.
The provincial director, presiding over the ceremony, commended the outgoing steward's contributions and urged the new bursar to maintain professionalism, rigor, and integrity, emphasizing the crucial role of stewardship in the school's operations.
The event concluded with the signing of the handover report and the official transfer of administrative and accounting documents.
