Governor of Liptako Urges Tax Compliance at Flag-Raising Ceremony

Seno: The governor of the Liptako region, Abdoul Karim Zongo, calls for tax compliance. The governor of the Liptako region, Abdoul Karim Zongo, invited the population of his territorial jurisdiction this Tuesday in Dori to fulfill their tax obligations during the traditional ceremony of raising the national colors, organized within the premises of the Regional Directorate of Water and Forests of Dori. The ceremony took place in the presence of the constituted bodies of the region, including the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and administrative authorities.

According to Burkina Information Agency, in his address, the top official of the region urged citizens to fulfill their tax obligations on the occasion of the 4th edition of the Days of Exemplary Tax Practice, which was officially launched on Monday, March 2, 2026, in Ouagadougou by the Prime Minister. He stressed that the mobilization of internal resources remains an essential lever for the development and resilience of the region.

Looking back on the key events of February 2026, the governor praised the efforts of the various actors involved in the stability and development of the Sahel, while calling for the continuation of the dynamic of commitment and responsibility. Addressing local economic initiatives, Abdoul Karim Zongo welcomed the opening of the Faso Yaar store in Dori, noting the availability of consumer goods such as sugar, oil, and fruit juices. He encouraged people to shop there in order to support this initiative aimed at improving access to essential goods.

The governor also paid a vibrant tribute to the Defense and Security Forces as well as the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) for the sacrifices made in securing the region.
