Ouagadougou: The Koti Departmental High School, located in the province of Tuy, organized a traditional day on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, where students demonstrated their cultural and culinary skills within the establishment.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the event featured a parade of traditional dress and culinary arts competitions, allowing high school students to showcase local cultural riches and traditions. In the culinary arts category, participants presented a variety of items, including a beverage, a light dish, a main course, and a dessert, with winners in each category receiving prizes.
The traditional dress parade was another highlight of the day, where the best performances were also recognized with awards. The ceremony saw attendance from notable figures, including the president of the special municipal delegation, Lassinan Dierma, along with several other personalities and actors from the high school.
Alassane Lengani, the principal of the high school, expressed satisfaction with the event's success and extended gratitude to all those who played a role in its execution. "This day was a complete success thanks to the participation of all stakeholders: students, parents, and partners, which made it possible to reward certain classes that distinguished themselves through their expertise," he stated.
