Ouagadougou: The Perigban departmental high school officially launched its inter-class football tournament named "Headmaster's Cup" on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. The event was attended by administrative, teaching, and educational staff, as well as many students who are passionate about football.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the principal of the school, Adama Traore, initiated the kick-off of this sporting competition at 4:30 p.m. The educational community was strongly mobilized around this activity, which aims to promote team spirit and cohesion among students.
The tournament's opening match featured a contest between the 6th grade and the 5th grade. The match was keenly followed by enthusiastic student supporters. At the end of regulation time, the 5th grade claimed victory over the 6th grade with a score of 2-1.
On this occasion, the headmaster, Mr. Adama Traore, commended the initiative of this sporting competition. He stated that it contributes to strengthening educational values within the school. He emphasized that football remains a significant factor in fostering social cohesion, discipline, and camaraderie among students.
