Community Health Workers Lead Sanitation Drive at Zambo Market

Ioba/zambo: More than forty community health workers (CHWs) conducted a sanitation operation at the central market of Zambo, in the province of Ioba, on Thursday, March 5, 2026, in the presence of the President of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune, Tassere Badini.

According to Burkina Information Agency, from the early hours of the morning, community health workers from the 23 villages of the commune, equipped with brooms, shovels, wheelbarrows, rakes, and a tricycle, began cleaning the central market and its surroundings. The organizers stated that this activity aims to promote hygiene and prevent disease among the population.

The vice-president of the ASBC association, KPODA Lenahir, emphasized the importance of hygiene in maintaining health. Present at the scene alongside his secretary general, Tassere Badini, the PDS of the Zambo commune, congratulated the organizers on this initiative. He encouraged unity and solidarity, stating that the community's development relies on such collective efforts.

The land chief and the chairman of the Zambo Village Development Committee (CVD) also participated in the activity, showing support for the organizers.
