Ouagadougou: Civil servants in Kabouda raise 500,000 FCFA for the Patriotic Support Fund. They responded to the call of the President of Burkina Faso by contributing to the Patriotic Support Fund (FSP). The funds were presented to Celine Bazemo, President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the Meguet municipality, on March 18, 2026.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation was handed over by Harouna Gazambe, Director of the Kabouda "A" school and representative of the donors. He emphasized that the initiative was inspired by the leadership of Burkina Faso's highest authorities, particularly the President. Gazambe reiterated the commitment of the 46 civil servants in the Kabouda customary area to support the national fight against terrorism.
Gazambe also expressed gratitude towards Pierre Tapsoba for his unwavering support, His Majesty Naba Tigre for his guidance, and the community for their continuous encouragement to the officials in the Kabouda area.
Upon receiving the contribution, Celine Bazemo expressed her satisfaction and gratitude for the civic act, which aligns with the national objectives. She praised the civil servants for their positive response to the call for national solidarity.
The PDS urged other officials, traders, and socio-economic actors to emulate the donors' example by supporting government efforts against terrorism.
For over a decade, civil servants in Kabouda have gathered annually to exchange New Year's greetings with the chief of Kabouda and the royal family in Ouagadougou. However, following the President's appeal, they have redirected their contributions to the Patriotic Support Fund to aid anti-terrorism efforts.
