Houet: The gendarmerie has been renovated and its office equipment reinforced by a medical center. As part of the commemoration of its ten years of existence, the La GrSce Medical Center handed over a large quantity of office equipment (computers, cabinets, chairs, mattresses, supplies) to the territorial gendarmerie brigade of Bama, this Wednesday, March 18, 2026. This donation comes after the renovation by the center of the gendarmerie services.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the chief of Bama, Oumar Sanou, emphasized the importance of this support for this service and expressed his joy, which is also shared by the entire population of Bama. As for the donor, the Director General of the La GrSce Medical Center, Dr. David Sawadogo, on behalf of the board of directors, first of all congratulated the Bama gendarmerie brigade for the efforts made in favor of the stability of the commune and the establishment of several administrative acts, before affirming that this gesture aims to improve the working conditions of the gendarmes.
This donation comes after the center previously renovated the premises and offices housing the gendarmerie services, which were severely dilapidated due to age. For the PDS, Felix Baye, security remains a shared priority, and he understands the need for this allocation, crucial for the administrative functioning of the brigade.
According to him, this action aligns with the call from the President of Burkina Faso through the Presidential Initiative for Community Development (PICD), which places communities, particularly local resources and grassroots structures, at the heart of development efforts. The PDS thanked the donor and invited other organizations to follow suit for the inclusive development of the municipality.
The brigade commander of Bama, Chief Warrant Officer Sibiri Millogo, reiterated his superiors' gratitude to the donor for this fruitful partnership, which will allow the gendarmerie to be ever closer to the people in order to respond effectively to their expectations. He solemnly reassured all those present that the equipment received would be used wisely for the greater good of the people.
The ceremony concluded with the symbolic handover of the equipment, followed by a guided tour of the premises.
