Zoundw©ogo JEPPC 2026 Launch Calls for Patriotic Support of Local Products

Zoundw©ogo: The High Commissioner of Zoundw©ogo Province, Julien Ou©draogo, inaugurated the 3rd edition of the National Days of Patriotic Engagement and Citizen Participation (JEPPC) in Manga. He conveyed a message from the President of Burkina Faso, emphasizing the importance of food sovereignty and economic patriotism.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event featured a solemn flag-raising ceremony accompanied by the national anthem, Ditany¨, sung in Moor©. The President's message encouraged citizens to exhibit patriotism by promoting local products. Under the theme "Food Sovereignty and Economic Patriotism: Together, let's cultivate our dignity through local production and consumption," this edition of the European Heritage Days aims to galvanize national efforts.

The slogan "My plate, my pride!" embodies the effort to make every meal a declaration of sovereignty. The theme calls for a concerted effort against food dependency, highlighting the significance of consuming local products to challenge economic domination. Ou©draogo urged merchants and consumers to prioritize national production on store shelves.

The President of Faso articulated that "producing what we consume, transforming what we produce and consuming what we transform" forms the foundation of true national independence. The message criticized the presence of "food imperialism" through imported goods overshadowing local products.

The High Commissioner expressed gratitude for the engagement of key stakeholders and encouraged sustained participation in upcoming JEPPC 2026 activities.
