Nahouri/Solidarity: Kind Donation of 16 Ventilators Enhances P´ Medical Center

Ouagadougou: A kind-hearted individual has made a significant contribution to the P´ Medical Center with Surgical Unit (CMA), with the donation of 16 ventilators. This generous act was carried out by Abouga Welo, who hails from the commune of P´. The ventilators were officially handed over to Ilassa Dianda, the President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the commune of P´, on Thursday, March 26, 2026.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Abouga Celo, the donor, expressed that the donation is intended to improve the conditions for both patients and healthcare staff at the medical center, especially during the period of intense heat. Celo emphasized that this contribution is a civic duty as a native of P´, underlining the shared responsibility towards health.

Ilassa Dianda, PDS of P´, commended Welo's timely contribution, stating that it was a source of pride to see citizens actively supporting public services. He remarked that the ventilators would alleviate the challenges faced by both patients and healthcare professionals working under difficult conditions.

Dr. Linda Somda, the head physician at the P´ Medical Center, extended her gratitude on behalf of the healthcare community. She noted that the heat adds stress to patients, particularly in hospital wards, and the new equipment will enhance the quality of care. Dr. Somda assured that the ventilators will be used and maintained carefully for the benefit of the community.

In addition to donating the ventilators, the donor also covered the installation costs, further supporting the medical center's efforts to provide adequate healthcare services.
