Passor©: The municipality of Pilimpikou officially launched the first phase of the third edition of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JEPPC) with a solemn flag-raising ceremony at the town hall on Thursday, March 26, 2026. This event marks the commencement of an initiative aimed at promoting food sovereignty and economic patriotism among the local population.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the theme for this year's edition, "Food sovereignty and economic patriotism: together, let us cultivate our dignity through local production and consumption," seeks to engage citizens in enhancing civic responsibility. The initiative emphasizes the importance of supporting national production and promoting local products as a means to foster endogenous development.
The ceremony was led by the Secretary General of the town hall, Lassina Keb©r©, and attended by municipal agents, constituted bodies, and the defense and security forces of Samba municipality. A delegation from the citizen watch also participated in the event. During the ceremony, the Secretary General delivered a message from the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, and outlined the schedule of activities set for the commune in the first phase of JEPPC 2026.
