S©no: The Secretary General of the Liptako region, Auguste Kinda, has called on the region's constituted bodies to commit to genuine food sovereignty. This appeal was made during the launch of the third edition of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JEPPC) in the Liptako region.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the launch ceremony featured the raising of the colors and was attended by administrative, military, and paramilitary authorities, along with representatives from civil society. During the event, Mr. Kinda conveyed a message from President Ibrahim Traor©, urging citizens to embrace local production and consumption. The President's message also highlighted the importance of tax compliance, especially among merchants, and encouraged a shift away from entrenched mental conditioning.

Mr. Kinda further announced that this year's JEPPC will include public conferences, panels, and a sanitation day to enhance citizen engagement. The events, themed "Let's produce Burkinab¨, let's consume Burkinab¨. Our plate, our pride," aim to bolster the patriotic spirit and encourage active citizen participation in Burkina Faso's development. The focus is on promoting local products and reducing reliance on external sources.
