Yaadga: The Yaadga region has officially launched the first fortnight of the 3rd edition of the Days of Patriotic Engagement and Citizen Participation (JEPPC), a period during which the populations of Lorum, Passor©, Yatenga, Zondoma are invited by the regional authority to consume local products, AIB observed.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Regional Council headquarters in Ouahigouya served as the venue for the launch of activities for this 3rd JEPPC. Under the chairmanship of the Secretary General of the Yaadga region, Kouilga Albert Zongo, representing the governor, the region's constituted bodies mobilized for a flag-raising ceremony and listened attentively to the message from the President of Burkina Faso, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traor©.

Under the theme "Food Sovereignty and Economic Patriotism: Together, let us cultivate our dignity through local production and consumption," the people of Yaadga collectively waged war against food dependency, in accordance with the wishes of the President of Burkina Faso. On behalf of the regional governor, the Secretary General urged the population to embrace the theme and act accordingly.

A program with several activities will be carried out during the first two weeks of the JEPPC and will include, in addition to Ouahigouya, the other provincial capitals of the region and all the municipalities.
