Oudalan: The High Commissioner of the province of Oudalan, Valentin Mar©, invited citizens on Thursday in Gorom-Gorom to revive their patriotic spirit and strengthen their participation in national construction, on the occasion of the official launch of the 3rd edition of the Days of Patriotic Engagement and Citizen Participation (JEPPC).
According to Burkina Information Agency, the launch ceremony saw a turnout deemed "historic" by local authorities. It brought together key figures from the province, administrative officials, the Defense and Security Forces, and community leaders. The event was marked by the raising of the national colours, performed to the rhythm of the national anthem sung in the Fulfulde language, reflecting the communities' support for the patriotic initiative.
In his address, the High Commissioner read the message from the President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©. Through this message, the Head of State urged all Burkinabe to revive the patriotic spirit and strengthen their civic engagement to build a stronger and more united nation. Mr. Valentin Mar© invited the participants to take ownership of the presidential message and to be its relays in their respective communities.
He emphasized the promotion of the "Let's consume Burkinabe" concept as an essential lever of economic patriotism. The province's top official also urged the authorities and stakeholders present to fulfill their tax obligations in order to set an example and encourage the population to do the same.
Through this mobilization and the messages conveyed, the JEPPC are emerging as a framework for strengthening national unity and promoting civic responsibility in the province of Oudalan.
