Loroum High Commissioner Urges Locals to Embrace Local Products at JEPPC 2026

Loroum: The High Commissioner of the province of Loroum, Captain Djibril Bassolé, invited the population on Thursday, March 26, 2026, to favour local products, during the launch of the 3rd edition of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JEPPC).According to Burkina Information Agency, the High Commissioner of Loroum Province, Captain Djibril Bassolé, read the message from the President of Burkina Faso and called upon the province's key stakeholders to increase their mobilization around the values of patriotism and active citizenship.Under the theme "Food Sovereignty and Economic Patriotism: Together, let us cultivate our dignity through local production and consumption," this year's event is being promoted under the rallying slogan: "Produce Burkinabe, consume Burkinabe: our plate, our pride!"The High Commissioner emphasized the importance of consuming local products, stating that "Every bite of local produce is a blow against the wall of economic domination." He further n oted that imperialism extends beyond historical and media narratives, manifesting in daily consumption choices.The government aims to strengthen national cohesion and encourage the population to prioritize local products, seen as a guarantee of sovereignty and collective dignity. The driving forces of Loroum responded enthusiastically, demonstrating their commitment to supporting this national initiative.The launch of the first phase of the JEPPC in Titao marks the commencement of a series of activities across the country, aimed at bolstering patriotic spirit and promoting responsible civic participation.
