Ouagadougou: As part of the activities of the Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation, first phase, a day of promotion of "let's consume local", was organized on Saturday April 4 at the Batie stadium.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the program included tasting several local dishes: zamnin, beignets, gonre skewers, babenda, soumbala, as well as an exhibition of woven loincloths.

For the High Commissioner of the province of Noumbiel, Drissa Hema, this day is not only dedicated to consuming local products, but also aims to be a framework for reflection on how to innovate and showcase everything that we produce ourselves.

"We must, in truth, prioritize the consumption of our products to enhance and support the work of our producers," he added, quoting the Head of State, Comrade Captain Ibrahim Traore.
