Djibasso Launches Patriotic Engagement Initiative to Boost Civic Participation

Djibasso: The Head of the Djibasso Basic Education District (CCEB), Pascal Coulibaly, has launched the Patriotic Engagement and Civic Participation Days (JEPPC), emphasizing the urgent need for students to understand the value of civic engagement.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the launch event commenced with a message from Burkina Faso's President, Captain Ibrahim Traore, followed by a flag-raising ceremony. The theme for this initiative, "Let's produce Burkinab¨, let's consume Burkinab¨: our plate, our pride," underscores a focus on national pride and self-sufficiency.

Pascal Coulibaly urged the educational community to mobilize and engage students in discussions about civic responsibility. He encouraged educators to "spread the message in your classrooms to break the routine," highlighting the importance of integrating civic engagement into the daily learning experience.

This initiative seeks to foster a sense of responsibility among citizens, motivating them to contribute to nation-building efforts through active civic participation and involvement in local development projects. The launch event drew participation from education stakeholders across Djibasso, Kombori, Madouba, alongside customary authorities and members of the defense and security forces FDS and the VDP.
