Mouhoun: As part of the Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JEPPC), 25 agricultural Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) from the commune of Kona visited their production site located in Dangouna.
According to Burkina Information Agency, after the solemn raising of the colours at school A in Dangouna, the President of the special delegation of the commune of Kona, Ali Sanou, along with 25 Volunteers for the defense of the homeland from the agricultural and technical services, visited a plot of land spanning approximately thirteen hectares. This site, situated between the villages of Dangouna and Kona, is designated for agro-pastoral production.
This field trip marks an important step in advancing the agropastoral and fishery initiative in the commune of Kona. The primary objective was to evaluate the site's exploitable potential and strategize the development work needed for the agricultural VDPs' benefit.
Under the leadership of the PDS, the delegation inspected the site boundaries, allowing stakeholders to understand the terrain's characteristics. During the discussions, the agricultural VDPs acknowledged the estate's quality and expressed their readiness to begin exploitation with the onset of the next rainy season.
Concluding the discussions, the agricultural VDP advocated for the perimeter's physical establishment and security. Meanwhile, the local populations expressed a desire for developing access roads to the site to ease the production and transportation of crops.
