Suudu Baba Troupe Seeks Provincial Support for SNC 2026 Debut

Sandbondtenga: The Suudu Baba troupe from Korsimoro is calling upon the sons and daughters of the province for support as they prepare for their debut at the National Culture Week (SNC) Bobo 2026. As the selected representatives of Sandbondtenga in the traditional song discipline, this marks the troupe's first participation in the cultural biennial.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the troupe is intensifying its rehearsals to ensure a performance that meets the expectations of this significant event. For the members, this debut is both a challenge and an opportunity to showcase the province's cultural heritage on a national platform. In light of this, they have appealed to the residents of Sandbondtenga for support to make their participation a success.

Local authorities have already provided technical assistance to the troupe. During a site visit, Amede Ouedraogo, the provincial director in charge of culture for Sandbondtenga, commended the dedication of the artists and reiterated his organization's support. "We are here to fine-tune the final details so that the team is at its best, able to represent our province effectively," he stated.

Diallo Sadou, the troupe's leader, assured the community of their commitment despite facing material challenges. "We are working tirelessly to offer a high-quality show and to live up to this major event. However, we are asking for the support and encouragement of the sons and daughters of the province to ensure the success of this participation," he explained.

Through this call for unity, the Suudu Baba troupe aims to gather support and energy around their ambitions, intending to proudly represent Sandbondtenga at the SNC 2026.
