Russia and Burkina Faso Reaffirm Commitment to Economic Cooperation

Moscow: Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Georgy Borisenko and Burkina Faso's Ambassador to Moscow, Aristide Tapsoba, have reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing trade, economic, and investment cooperation between their respective countries during a recent meeting.

According to Burkina Information Agency, a statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry highlighted that the meeting addressed significant issues related to strengthening the traditionally friendly relations between Russia and Burkina Faso in multiple fields. Both Moscow and Ouagadougou expressed their readiness to develop political dialogue and broaden cooperation in areas that would be beneficial for both nations.

The discussions also included exploring ways to bolster cooperation between Russia and the Confederation of Sahel States (ESA), considering Burkina Faso's current leadership of the organization.
