Ouagadougou: The Yarga and Mano families, from the localities of Coalla and Manni, reaffirmed on Thursday their centuries-old joking kinship ties during a fraternal visit to Father Paulin Mano, parish priest of Manni, AIB observed. United by a traditional alliance rooted in the Gulmanc community of the Gnagna province, the two families mobilized strongly to celebrate and revive the values ??of brotherhood, solidarity and social cohesion that bind them.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the gathering, marked by songs, dances, and convivial exchanges, is part of a cultural tradition passed down through generations. A true endogenous mechanism of social regulation, the joking relationship helps strengthen community cohesion through interactions based on humor, mutual respect, and tolerance.
On this occasion, the delegation expressed its support for the construction of the parish church of Manni by presenting a financial contribution of 60,000 CFA francs to the priest. In a highly symbolic gesture, she also offered rock salt to Father Paulin Mano, inviting him to "remain salt" in the fulfillment of his pastoral mission, in reference to his role as a spiritual guide and moral compass within the Christian community.
Deeply moved by this gesture, the parish priest praised the vitality of the joking family ties, which he described as an essential lever for peace and social cohesion. He also expressed his gratitude for the support given to the parish's work. This visit illustrates, once again, the strength of cultural traditions in consolidating the social fabric and living together in Burkina Faso.
