Kenedougou’s New Sports Director to Enhance Youth and Employment Dynamics

Orodara: The Secretary General of Kenedougou Province, Bassanma Ko, officially installed Seydou Hie as the new Provincial Director of Sports, Youth, and Employment. Hie has pledged to consolidate existing achievements, inject new momentum, and work collaboratively with all stakeholders to promote the development of sports.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Seydou Hie was appointed by the Council of Ministers on March 19, 2026, and officially took office on April 9, 2026, succeeding Batimou Bazi. During the installation ceremony, staff spokesperson Issiaka Yameogo commended the outgoing director's professionalism and dedication.

Batimou Bazi highlighted his accomplishments in promoting sports activities and youth development, attributing these successes to the collective efforts of his staff and the support from administrative authorities. He expressed gratitude and confidence in the continued momentum of progress.

Seydou Hie expressed his gratitude to the country's highest authorities for their trust in him. He acknowledged the challenges ahead and committed to working collaboratively with all stakeholders to further develop sports and youth empowerment in Kenedougou Province.

In his remarks, Secretary General Bassanma Ko congratulated the outgoing director on his achievements and encouraged Hie to demonstrate rigor, commitment, and initiative in his new role.
