Bobo-dioulasso: Racing Club de Bobo (RCB) claimed victory in the Bobo derby against Association Sportive des Fonctionnaires de Bobo (ASFB) with a score of 2-1 at the Wobi Stadium during the 26th matchday of the national championship.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the first half was characterized by numerous attempts from RCB, but none resulted in a goal. Both teams entered the halftime break with the score tied at 0-0. Early in the second half, ASFB's Mohamede Borro scored in the 46th minute, giving his team the initial lead.
RCB's Toure Cheick Mohamed had a chance to equalize eight minutes later, but his shot hit the crossbar. However, RCB's persistent efforts paid off when Toure Cheick Mohamed scored in the 60th minute to level the score. Just four minutes later, Ali Pakodtogo scored a header, securing the lead and eventual victory for RCB.
Post-match, RCB coach Ambass Ouedraogo commended his team's resilience and expressed his ambition to motivate the players to win upcoming matches to avoid relegation. On the other hand, ASFB assistant coach Salif Sourabie recognized the team's challenges and committed to improving their performance.
