Yaadga Region: Prime Minister Engages Stakeholders for Development Initiatives

Ouagadougou: The Prime Minister meets with key stakeholders for regional development during a working visit to the Yaadga region, Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouedraogo held a series of meetings with key stakeholders in the region on Friday, April 17, 2026. These discussions are part of the ongoing dialogue and consultation process that the Government maintains with the various segments of the nation.According to Burkina Information Agency, the Prime Minister's discussions with the various delegations focused on ways and means to accelerate the development of the Yaadga region. Speaking on behalf of the delegation of religious communities, Bishop Justin Kientega of the Diocese of Ouahigouya welcomed the progress made and encouraged the Government to continue the actions undertaken in favor of peace and development. He also reaffirmed the commitment of religious authorities to support national initiatives through prayers and actions promoting social cohesion.The heads of administrative districts, as well as the military and paramilitary authorities, congratulated the Government on the results achieved in the reconquest of the territory and the efforts made to improve their working conditions. They reaffirmed the commitment of the public servants to play their full part in achieving the assigned objectives. Governor Thomas Yampa noted that Yaadga is a resilient region, sustained by people deeply committed to serving the Nation.The Prime Minister also received a delegation from the women's coordination committee of the Yaadga region. On behalf of the delegation, spokesperson Sodore/Sangarba Djeneba commended the Government's actions and reaffirmed the women's commitment to supporting development initiatives. The women's delegation also raised concerns regarding access to drinking water, the strengthening of income-generating activities, and the promotion of local consumption.The Head of Government also met with a delegation from the Association of Natives of the Northern Region for Economic and Soci al Development (ADES-NORD), led by its president, Mahamadi Bangrin Ouedraogo. During this meeting, he delivered a message focusing on mobilization and cohesion, presented as essential drivers for the effectiveness of development initiatives in the region.A delegation from the National Coordination of Citizen Watch Associations (CNAVC) in the Yaadga region was also received by the Prime Minister. The Head of Government commended the patriotic commitment of the citizen watch groups and urged them to remain mobilized in a spirit of unity and vigilance. He emphasized the importance of maintaining a united front to combat ongoing challenges.The Prime Minister congratulated and encouraged all the vital forces of the region for their contributions to the fight against insecurity, as well as to the promotion of peace, social cohesion, and living together.
