MAERAH Enhances Logistical Capabilities with New Fleet of Trucks

Ouagadougou: The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries (MAERAH) has bolstered its logistical capacities with the recent acquisition of a fleet of twelve 50-ton trucks. This development marks a significant step in improving the delivery efficiency of agricultural inputs and equipment to producers across the nation.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the trucks were delivered by the Minister Delegate in charge of Animal Resources, Comrade Dr Amadou DICKO, to the Director General of Plant Production, Comrade Prosper ZEMBA. The acquisition, made possible through state funds and the support of the National Land Development and Rural Equipment Company (SONATER), aims to enhance the ministry's operational capabilities.

In line with directives from the Comrade Minister of State, Commander Isma«l SOMBI€š¬…¡¬°, the trucks were deployed immediately after the handover ceremony. This swift action is intended to optimize the distribution of agricultural equipment and boost agropastoral production activities nationwide.

Previously, the ministry had provided fifteen trucks to the Directorate General of Plant Production (DGPV) and other departmental bodies. The addition of these new vehicles further strengthens the ministry's logistics framework, enhancing its ability to support agricultural producers effectively.
