The Ropane school clinched the girls' title by winning on penalties (2-0) against Pissila Application, while the Touri school emerged victorious in the boys' category with a narrow 1-0 win over Pissila Sector 4 Nabasnonguin.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the closing ceremony was presided over by Tambi Zouma, the president of the special municipal delegation. It began with a parade featuring the participating schools, setting the stage for the eagerly anticipated sporting finals. The Touri men's team celebrated their triumph with a trophy, a cash prize of 25,000 CFA francs, a set of jerseys, and a ball.
OSCEP 2026 was not limited to football; it also highlighted a variety of cultural and sporting disciplines. Events included athletics, storytelling, recitals, drawing, traditional dance, and traditional-modern ballet, with winners receiving both cash and in-kind prizes. Organized by CEBs 1 and 2, OSCEP 2026 was themed "Sport and culture in schools, lever for civic education, resilience and social cohesion." The closing ceremony featured cultural activities and gathered teachers, students, educational authorities, and local populations, underscoring the unity and social cohesion within the Pissila commune.
