Mouhoun/CEB Bondoukuy Launches Jula Language Certification Assessment

Mouhoun: The President of the Special Delegation of Bondoukuy municipality, Lazare Bado, initiated the certification assessment in the national language Jula. Sixty-eight candidates from the Bondoukuy Basic Education District participated in the assessment, which started on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the certification assessment in Jula is integral to promoting national languages within Burkina Faso's education system. It is organized in the Basic Education Districts with support from the Fund for Literacy and Non-Formal Education (FONAENF). In Bondoukuy, 72 candidates registered for the assessment, spread across the Tankuy center with 39 candidates and the Koumana center with 33 candidates. Of those registered, 68 candidates attended, resulting in a participation rate of 93.45% at the district level.

Key figures such as Lazare Bado, the Head of the Basic Education District, Belohou Kamouni Evelyne, and the Commander of the territorial gendarmerie brigade, Kima Fran§ois, were present to encourage the candidates and officially commence the tests. The authorities visited various centers to motivate the candidates and emphasize the importance of national languages in the country's education policy.

The opening of the first envelope containing the examination subjects was conducted under the supervision of the Bondoukuy PDS, following standard checks in the presence of candidates and security forces to ensure the process's transparency and credibility. The first test, focusing on text studies in Jula, began promptly at 8 a.m.

This certification assessment underscores the commitment of educational stakeholders in Bondoukuy to advancing national languages, seen as vital for social inclusion and enhancing educational quality.
