Bonogo School Triumphs in Sapon© Sports and Cultural Closing Event


Sapon©: The closing ceremony for the sports and cultural activities of the Sapon© Basic Education District (CEB) took place on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the Bonogo field. The highlight of the event was the football final between the Bonogo school and the Ziou school, where Bonogo emerged victorious with a score of one goal to zero.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony marked the conclusion of the 2025-2026 school year’s sports and cultural activities, held under the theme: “Excellence and Personal Growth through Sport and Culture in a School Undergoing Reform.” The event witnessed participation from key community figures and a significant number of residents.



The head of the CEB, Ang©line N©gnan/Ou©draogo, presided over the ceremony and congratulated all participants for the organization and smooth execution of the competitions. Mr. N©gnan emphasized that school serves as a platform for expression, talent development, and community building.



K´ti No«l Sanou, the President of the Social Development Service (PDS), also presided over the ceremony. He extended his gratitude to all teachers in the municipality for contributing to the success of the 2026 sporting and cultural activities. He encouraged students to engage in such activities, viewing them as vital for fostering unity, social cohesion, and peace within the community.



The ceremony, sponsored by Firmin Ou©draogo, offered Koudkuilga Ou©draogo, Secretary General of the CEB’s Office for the Organization of Sport and Culture for Primary School Teams (OSCEP), a chance to reflect on the past five months of competitions, highlighting their significance and impact.
