Sandbondtenga: The Primary School Leaving Certificate (CEP) exams for the 2026 session commenced this Tuesday in the municipality of Pissila, with 661 candidates, including 427 girls and 234 boys, striving for their first school diploma. The official start was marked at Nabmaneguem A school, center 1 of the Pissila 1 CEB, by the president of the Pissila Special Delegation (PDS).

According to Burkina Information Agency, the PDS initiated the exams by opening the first envelope containing the writing prompt, symbolizing the official commencement of the tests in the area. The candidates are distributed between the two Basic Education Districts (CEB) of Pissila 1 and Pissila 2, where they will undergo four days of exams to earn their diplomas.

During the event, the PDS encouraged candidates to maintain composure, focus, and self-assurance to tackle the exams effectively. He commended the teachers and other educational stakeholders for their dedication throughout the academic year.

He highlighted that the school year proceeded smoothly without major disruptions due to the vigilance of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), which facilitated the regular conduct of educational activities, raising hopes for positive outcomes.

The CEP exams began in a calm and peaceful environment.
