Namentenga: A total of 3,121 candidates began the school examinations for the Primary School Certificate (CEP), the Junior High School Certificate (BEPC), the Vocational Studies Certificate (BEP), and the Vocational Aptitude Certificate (CAP) on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, in the province of Namentenga, 2026 session. The High Commissioner of the province, Adama Conseiga, officially launched the CAP exams at the Jan Vervoort Vocational and Technical High School. The commencement of the CEP exams took place at the examination center of the Basic Education District of Z©gu©d©guin.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Secretary General of the province, Karim Isma«l Thiombiano, kicked off the BEPC exams at the Boulsa Provincial High School. A total of 3,121 candidates are vying for their respective diplomas in Namentenga province. On this occasion, the High Commissioner reminded the candidates that the exams they are taking are no different from the exercises they do daily in class. He encouraged them and wished them good luck, advising, "Don't stress. Be courageous, give it your all, and the results will meet your expectations. Avoid any cheating, otherwise the prescribed penalties will be applied." The province's top official also encouraged all those involved in ensuring the smooth running of these exams.

Sibiri Abdoulaye Yarbanga, the provincial director of Secondary Education and Vocational and Technical Training, reported that 898 candidates, including 664 girls, are registered for the BEPC this year, compared to 1,007 in 2025. Yarbanga specified that 122 candidates, including 94 boys, are registered for the CAP, while 114 candidates, including 78 boys, are taking the BEP.

Ouiraogo Bernard Kabor©, the provincial director of preschool, primary, and non-formal education, indicated that 1,664 students, including 1,145 girls, are registered for the CEP this year, compared to 1,857 candidates in 2025.
