Niamey: The Prime Minister of the Republic of Niger, Ali Mahamane Lamine Zeine, received key government officials from Mali and Burkina Faso in Niamey. The meeting, which took place on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, included discussions with the Ministers responsible for Finance and Mines from both Burkina Faso and Mali. They were joined by Nigerien officials overseeing Foreign Affairs and Petroleum.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the delegation from Burkina Faso comprised Dr. Aboubakar Nacanabo, Minister of Economy and Finance, and Yacouba Zabr© Gouba, Minister of Energy, Mines and Quarries. Representing Mali were Alousseini Sanou, Minister of State and Minister of Economy and Finance, along with Professor Amadou Keta, Minister of Mines.
It is important to highlight that Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger are part of the Confederation of Sahel States (AES). These nations aim to collaborate to enhance integrated development within the region.
