Gourcy: Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouedraogo inaugurated the commencement of a significant drinking water project in Gourcy, located in the province of Zondoma. This initiative is aimed at enhancing the drinking water supply system for Ouahigouya and is valued at 7.5 billion FCFA.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the project involves constructing a 45-kilometer connection and is expected to be completed within five months. This development is anticipated to significantly improve access to drinking water for the residents of the Yaadga region.

Prime Minister Ouedraogo emphasized that the completion of this project should reduce the water supply deficit in Ouahigouya by 95%. He noted that the project is financed by the Burkinabe State with assistance from the World Bank, highlighting the collaboration with technical and financial partners.

Ouedraogo assured that this initiative will bolster access to drinking water for communities in the city of "Naaba Kaongo" and its neighboring areas. He mentioned that investments like these are crucial for improving living conditions, aligning with the objectives of the Popular Progressive Revolution (RPP) under Captain Ibrahim Traore's leadership.

The Prime Minister reiterated the government's commitment to adhering to the project timeline and ensuring the successful implementation of this hydraulic infrastructure. During his visit, he addressed concerns raised by locals about water access issues and expressed satisfaction that these are being addressed with the project's launch.

He acknowledged the local community's robust support for the project's vision, reflecting their alignment with the goals of the popular progressive revolution.
