Sangui©: The monthly flag-raising ceremony, marked by the reading of the President of Burkina Faso's message to the nation, took place in R©o. The rotating flag-raising ceremony in the Sangui© province was held Monday at the R©o health district, followed by the reading of the President of Faso's message to the Nation by the High Commissioner, Talari Germaine Ouoba.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was presided over by the High Commissioner of the province, Talari Germaine Ouoba. It was marked by the reading of the address to the Nation by the President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, also President of the Confederation of Sahel States (AES), on the occasion of the second anniversary of the Confederation. In his message, the President of Faso welcomed the achievements recorded since the creation of the Confederation of Sahel States and reaffirmed the determination of Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger to consolidate their union around the ideals of sovereignty, security, economic integration, and development for the benefit of the people.

Following this presentation, the Chief Medical Officer of the R©o health district, Dr. David Nikiema, introduced his district, which covers the municipalities of Dassa, Didyr, Godyr, Kordi©, and R©o, with an estimated population of over 232,000. He outlined the district's structure, its missions, and the main guidelines that inform its public health actions. The head of the health district also mentioned the difficulties his department faces, including the cramped administrative infrastructure, the lack of storage facilities for vaccines and medicines, the insufficient number of vehicles, and the need to strengthen the technical platform and staff accommodation.

In response, the High Commissioner commended the commitment, professionalism, and resilience of the healthcare workers who strive daily to provide care to the population despite the challenges. She congratulated them on their achievements and encouraged them to continue their efforts. Ms. Ouoba also indicated that she had taken careful note of the concerns raised by the health district and assured them that these would be addressed with the relevant stakeholders. Following the ceremony, the administrative authorities, accompanied by key stakeholders and partners, toured the premises of the health district to observe the realities mentioned by the heads of the structure.
