Governor Praises Commitment of Security Forces and VDP at Kouls© Ceremony

Kaya: The governor of the Kouls© region, Colonel-Major Blaise Ou©draogo, commended the dedication of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) during a flag-raising ceremony in Kaya. This ceremony, held to honor the national colors, also celebrated achievements in sports and agricultural insurance in the region.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the governor paid tribute to FDS and VDP members who lost their lives in recent operations in Solhan, Gay©ri, and Gorgadji. He urged the community to remember their sacrifice and continue efforts to reclaim national territory.

The ceremony also recognized the Kouls© regional football team for winning the 52nd edition of the Union of School and University Sports of Burkina Faso (USSU-BF) under-17 championships. In addition, the Regional Directorate of Agriculture, Water, Animal and Fisheries Resources of Kouls© was honored for leading the nation in promoting agricultural insurance for the 2025-2026 campaign, with a top agent recognized in this field.

Authorities congratulated the award recipients, encouraging further efforts to elevate the region's achievements. The governor also mentioned the mandatory patriotic immersion program for new high school graduates, urging support from various bodies for its successful implementation.

Regional Director of Labour and Social Protection, Comrade Parfait Kabor©, called on workers to join the Universal Health Insurance Scheme (RAMU) to improve healthcare access. The event featured a message from Captain Ibrahim Traor©, President of the Confederation of Sahel States (AES), marking its second anniversary, and concluded with a tree planting on the host organization's grounds.
