Boulgou: The Boulgou Province's School and Vocational Guidance Days (JOSP) commenced on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, in Tenkodogo, spearheaded by the province's High Commissioner, Comrade Constantin Dabir©. Sponsored by Comrade Nachor Sorgho, the Regional Director of Secondary Education and Vocational and Technical Training for Nakamb©, the initiative aims to assist the 2026 exam graduates in selecting promising career paths and enhancing their socio-professional integration.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the High Commissioner highlighted the education system reforms, which are designed to align training programs with students' capabilities and job market demands. He stressed the importance of choosing a field of study wisely, linking it directly to their professional future, and urged graduates to engage actively in these guidance days for making informed decisions.
Comrade Dabir© expressed his appreciation for the regional and provincial education officials' efforts, which yielded satisfactory results in the 2026 session, and reiterated his commitment to supporting educational initiatives in the province.
Comrade Ousmane Massimbo, the chairman of the organizing committee, noted that JOSP was organized following a directive from the Ministry of Secondary Education. He outlined that over the two-day event, participants would engage in conferences, training program information sessions, scholarship application assistance, discussions on patriotic immersion, and workshops focused on internships and job placements.
Camarade Nachor Sorgho emphasized that career guidance plays a crucial role in minimizing academic failure and unemployment among young graduates. He acknowledged the achievements in the Nakamb© region and applauded the efforts of all stakeholders in the education system.
Addressing the graduates, he encouraged them to connect with career advisors, actively engage in the various sessions, and select study fields that align with their skills and career prospects. He also urged participation in mandatory patriotic immersion centers.
Camarade Hippolyte Ou©draogo, the provincial director in charge of secondary education in Boulgou, emphasized the challenge graduates face in choosing suitable study fields. He advised them to leverage discussions with career counselors and higher education institutions to avoid decisions that could negatively impact their academic and professional futures.
The 2026 edition of JOSP aims to provide new graduates with reliable guidance to construct a coherent study plan, ultimately contributing to the socio-economic development of Burkina Faso.
