Ouagadougou: Artisanal miners in the Koper commune have made a significant contribution to local development by donating an estimated 1,550,000 FCFA to the Faso Mªbo presidential initiative. The donation, which aims to support ongoing development projects within the commune, was handed over on Tuesday.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation was received by Zakaria Dao, the prefect and president of the special delegation of Koper. The contribution includes 10 tons of cement, three wheelbarrows, ten shovels, five pickaxes, and a financial envelope of 220,000 FCFA.

Mr. Dao expressed his gratitude to the miners for their patriotic commitment and support towards the Faso Mªbo initiative. He commended their efforts in helping implement the development actions within the commune.

Wilfried Hien and Tass©r© Sawadogo, representatives from the Memer 1 and 2 mining sites, reiterated their commitment to assisting the municipal authorities in their efforts to enhance the welfare of the local population.
