Ouagadougou: The population of the commune of Samogohiri is rehabilitating the Samogohiri-Sokouraba road, which was damaged following heavy rains. The population of the commune of Samogohiri carried out, on Friday, July 17, 2026, the rehabilitation of the Samogohiri-Sokouraba axis, which had been severely damaged by recent rains.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the operation, initiated by the President of the Special Delegation (PDS), Pascal Bouda, has restored traffic flow on this vital road for the local population. Armed with picks and shovels, and supported by tricycles, residents of Samogohiri mobilized early in the morning to repair the damage caused by the severe weather. For several hours, the volunteers worked to fill in the cut sections, repair the potholes, and level the road surface.
This community intervention follows the heavy rainfall recorded in recent days in the commune, which had significantly damaged the road linking Samogohiri to Sokouraba. The situation made it difficult, if not impossible, for some vehicles to pass and complicated the movement of residents and the transport of goods. Following the repairs, the road has been restored and is now passable.
The President of the Special Delegation of Samogohiri, Pascal Bouda, praised the strong mobilization of the residents and their spirit of solidarity. He expressed his gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of this civic action.
